Normally I only focus on my area of expertise but tonight I read a blog entry from the woman who writes Creating Passionate Users – a very popular blog.  She has been receiving death threats.  The blogosphere is not that small that someone doesn’t know someone who knows someone.  Can’t we leverage this connected group to find this person?  Someone knows.  Someone should say.

I’m tracking back to Seth Godin’s blog since he has many more readers and it will get to the group faster.  He has a link to post from Kathy on her experience.  Not for the faint of heart.

Great idea … and I agree. If someone knows, they should tell. This sort of behaviour is unacceptable.

Kathy mentions the poster’s IP address as 62.37.152.243, which belongs to a Madrid-based ISP owned by France Telecom. She also lists his email as siftee@yahoo.com. A Google on siftee@yahoo.com reveals a post mentioning he’d been to concerts in Barcelona, Spain. Who knows if his IP is spoofed or not, but a call or email to Uni2 IP Data Network (buseftes.es@orange-ftgroup.com) might help.
