USA Today Travel
Incentive Intelligence is the blog for our company – i2i – and we were one of a few companies USA TODAY asked to weigh in on the mounting pressure on the incentive an meetings industry.  As we have posted here over the past few weeks, due to ill-timed programs and poorly managed PR (mostly AIG) – the incentive and meeting industry is getting slammed.  We are a big supporter of using incentives, including travel and meetings, as a way to align employees and channel partner behavior with corporate objectives.

Over the past couple of weeks we have been in contact with Barbara De Lollis from USA TODAY to provide input on an article that is in today's USA TODAY called:  "Posh Trips for Jobs Well-Done are Fading."

I think Barbara does a great job of covering the issue and includes information from not only those of us involved in the planning and execution of the programs but talked to the recipients of these awards.

As I've said before, these programs help businesses be competitive – and increases their viability.
